the history of WebPRpro
WebPRpro was created when four experts from various backgrounds looked at the business landscape and saw a change on the horizon for public relations (PR). It began with PR professionals
Bonnie Shaw and
Beth Walsh. Through their PR practice, San Diego-based
Clearpoint Agency, speaking engagements, and business counseling of aspiring entrepreneurs, they saw that certain groups like start-ups, small businesses and small divisions of large companies didn’t have many options for affordable PR and marketing services. Shaw and Walsh knew they could solve the problem by harnessing the power of Web-based tools to deliver effective and high-value PR materials and advice at a lower price point than the typical $5,000 to $15,000 that agencies charge

In talking with business associates,
Chris Harris and
Vishal Srivastava, founders of multiple companies including Inventure Global, Shaw and Walsh shared their plan to create an easy and powerful set of tools to help businesses develop PR materials and news releases quickly and on-demand. Harris and Srivastava, Web marketing, search engine optimization and IT experts, were just the guys to help make it a reality. They came up with a way to automate the process and add a complementary component – Search Engine Marketing (SEM) – to ensure people could quickly and effectively build exposure for their products or services online.
